Ohrid is a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage city located on the shores of Lake Ohrid in Macedonia. This guide provides information on how to reach Ohrid and the workshop venue, Hotel Kongresen Centar-Ohrid.

1. Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport (OHD)

Location: Approximately 10 km from Ohrid city center
Airlines: Seasonal flights from various European cities
Best for: Direct access to Ohrid

2. Skopje International Airport (SKP)

Location: Approximately 170 km from Ohrid (3 hours by road)
Airlines: Regular flights from major European cities
Best for: More flight options and connections

Transportation from Airports

From Ohrid Airport (OHD) to City Center

Taxi:

  • Available at the airport exit
  • Cost: Approximately 10-15 € to Ohrid city center
  • Duration: 15-20 minutes

Car Rental:

  • Several agencies at the airport (Hertz, Avis, Europcar, etc.)

  • Bus from Skopje to Ohrid: 3-3.5 hours, approximately 10-15 €
  • Bus companies: Galeb, Boka, etc.

Option 2: Private Transfer/Taxi

  • Direct from airport to Ohrid
  • Cost: Approximately 100-150 €
  • Duration: 2.5-3 hours
  • Can be pre-booked online

Option 3: Car Rental

  • Available at Skopje Airport
  • Drive to Ohrid via A2/E65 highway
  • Distance: 170 km, approximately 2.5-3 hours

Getting to Hotel Kongresen Centar-Ohrid

From Ohrid City Center

Location: Hotel Kongresen Centar is located in Lagadin, approximately 8 km south of Ohrid city center.

By Taxi:

  • Available throughout Ohrid
  • Cost: 8-12 € from city center
  • Duration: 15 minutes
  • Tell driver: “Hotel Kongresen Centar” or “Хотел Конгресен Центар”

By Car:

  • Follow signs for “Lagadin” along the lake road
  • The hotel is clearly marked on the main road
  • Free parking available at the venue

Public Transport:

  • Local buses run between Ohrid and Lagadin
  • Ask for bus to “Lagadin” and get off at “Kongresen Centar”
  • Frequency: Every 30-60 minutes
  • Cost: Approximately 1 €

From Ohrid Airport (OHD) to Hotel Kongresen Centar
